West Hartford, CT (Jul 1, 2013) – The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, in association with David Seymour, is announcing the CT REIA 10th anniversary celebration and meeting on July 15, 2013. This meeting will take place from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Four Points Sheraton, located at 275 Research Parkway in Meriden, CT.
CT REIA was founded by several women real estate investors in Connecticut. They held their first planned meeting over lunch in West Hartford, CT. Their objection was to simply network with other like-minded investors. On July 21, 2003 at 6:00 pm CT REIA was born. 75 people attended the first monthly meeting, 125 attended the 2nd monthly meeting in August and 300 peoples attended the 3rd monthly meeting. CT REIA has played a leading roll in in turning regular folks like Sue Nelson, Than Merrill, and Paul Esajian into multi-millionaires. CT REIA has been featured on CNN Financial News, The New York Times, Hartford Courant, Meriden Record Journal, Channel 30-WVIT and Channel 8 News-WTNH.
Attendees of this seminar will learn about wholesaling, quick turn real estate, basics of rehab, no money down tips and tricks, list building, investing in hidden markets, and more. There will also be a lot of raffle prizes that will be given away at this event. The guest speaker for this event will be David Seymour from A&E’s “Flipping Boston.” Members will also be inducted into the CT REIA Hall of Fame. Inductees demonstrate success and professionalism as real estate investors, as well as contribution and participation to the association and to the community at large.
Dave’s philosophy on the current market place parallels a Warren Buffet quote, “when everybody is greedy be fearful, and when everybody is fearful be greedy,” or as we see it, when the rest of the world is running out, Dave is running in. It’s a character trait he picked up while serving as a Firefighter and Paramedic in New England, and you can see it in everything he does. Dave is the consummate leader. From the first day of demolition all the way through to the cashing of the check after the sale, Dave can be found moving the proverbial ball down the field at breakneck speed – managing, positioning and keeping everything on track, on time, and on budget. Dave’s never been one for details, but boy – does he think BIG! Armed with British wit and unwavering persistence, Dave keeps the team motivated, he demands massive action and in return he produces massive results. His greatest joys come from being a husband and father, both of which are the true motivation for all he does. The ability to see others achieve the success they never believed possible has been one of the most rewarding experiences in Dave’s life.
