Thanks to the great help from The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, Pam Patton feels honored to be so successful in an industry typically dominated by men. Her ability to handle so many tasks in the business made her an easy pick as CT REIA’s Women in Real Estate Award.
Pam and her husband, Richard Northam, have been investors since 2016 after completing CT REIA’s Fast-Track Team Coaching Program and have successfully completed five renovations so far. Pam’s previous time as a secretary trained her to handle everything from numbers to marketing to financing. With her degree in art therapy, she employs techniques to attract buyers quickly. For example, Pam uses specific color palettes to boost your mood while walking through the house.
Recently while Richard has been busy with his day job, Pam’s been able to do even more for Bright Homes, LLC. Pam uses multiple marketing strategies to find off-market deals. She determines the value of the property, creates the scope of renovations, hires contractors, and manages the budget. She even does some of the renovation herself! Her husband will have more real estate time in the future, though, meaning that their partnership will grow even stronger.
Pam finds that CT REIA Coaches aren’t just skilled real estate entrepreneurs; they go above and beyond every step of the way to make you feel like you’re a part of their family. Everyone at CT REIA wants you to fully succeed and will keep you on track to be the best. She has unending praise towards all the staff who has helped her in all areas.
Her words for women who think they aren’t a good fit for real estate: “it’s not even close to being as male dominated as you may think.” In addition to construction, women will find many ways to apply their life talents to real estate. She wholly recommends anyone interested to apply for CT REIA’s Coaching Program and follow all their teachings so that they can experience similar success.
